The purpose of this role is to ensure that the IT department provides innovative, high quality solutions which deliver business requirements and benefits.
Eldon Insurance Services are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join their small but busy team in Newcastle. Eldon Insurance Services provide insurance services and expert claims management services in the UK, specialising in private motor and commercial insurance. Through using an insight driven approach to insurance, we have established a track record of controlled and profitable growth.
- Define requirements for improving processes and systems, reducing costs and enhancing sustainability
- Produce specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of/changes to information and communication systems
- Contribute to projects designed to improve working practices within the IT Department
- Develop and maintain quality standards for analysis area
- Assist in testing when required
- Work closely with the other teams in the IT department to deliver optimum solutions
- Work closely with the Business to ensure that their requirements are delivered.
- Report progress to management.
- Build levels of technical competence and share best practice.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience of analysis and design
- Project Management/Systems Development lifecycle experience
- Keep abreast of new/emerging technologies within the IT Industry
- Understand industry standards and protocol
- Knowledge of Insurance industry beneficial
